Ronald Joe "Ronnie" Brown, Jr.

THOMASVILLE-Ronald Joe ”Ronnie” Brown, Jr., 58, passed away on Friday, April 28, 2017.

He was born on December 22, 1958 in High Point, to the late Ronald Joe and Peggy King Brown. A resident of this area all of his life, he worked for Winter-Bell and has been employed with them for 39 years. He was quick witted and always had a smile on his face. Ronnie never met a stranger and was always willing to lend a helping hand; whether he was helping someone buy food that needed a meal, or getting someone a tank of gas. Ronnie enjoyed camping, fishing, working in his fish pond and grilling out. His true love and passion was spending time with his family. He was a special son, awesome husband, dad, brother and paw paw. In addition to his parents, preceding him in death were a son, Matthew Lee Brown and a brother Lloyd Lee Brown.

He leaves to cherish his memory; his wife of  26 plus years, Hilda Badberg Brown and his grandson, Michael Joel Brown of the home; his children, Christina Faith Briggs and her husband Stephen, Pattie Kelly, Daniel Joel Brown and his wife Laura, David Jamie Brown; his sisters, Rhonda Ann Brown Palmer and Elizabeth Lucille Brown Gore and her husband David. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Tylor Lee Brown, Amber Nichole Brown, Nikki Mullins, Katrina Marie Briggs; several nieces and nephews and his faithful canine companion, Buttons.

A service to celebrate Ronnie’s life will be held on Tuesday, May 2, at 2 pm in the Chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale, with Reverend Roger Carmichael officiating.  Interment will follow in Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery. His family will receive friends on Monday, May 1, from 6 until 8 pm at the funeral home and other times will be at the home of his sister, Rhonda Ann Brown Palmer.
