Ronald Bales Foust, 75, passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at High Point Regional Hospital. He was the loving husband of Diana Sue (Idol) Foust to whom he was married to for 54 years.
Mr. Foust was born on January 12, 1938 in Guilford County, a son of the late John Wesley and Ollie (Bales) Foust. He was a former employee of Old Dominion Freight Lines for 40 years until his retirement.
In his spare time, he enjoyed working in his woodworking shop; playing the guitar and collecting NASCAR memorabilia.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Foust is survived by two daughters, Julie (Foust) Black and her husband, Tony of Winston-Salem, and Jenny (Foust) Manring and her husband, Johnny of Thomasville; three grandchildren, Amber Santora and her husband, Joe of High Point, Jonathan Sparks and his wife, Tasha of Cary, NC, and Amanda Manring of Thomasville; two great grandchildren; and a sister, Betty Jean Conrad of Winston-Salem.
A graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 24, 2013 at Abbotts Creek Missionary Baptist Church, 2817 Abbotts Creek Church Rd, High Point with Rev. Mark Hollar officiating.
