I just found out about Rosalie passing away. She was such an incredible person. The words that come to mind are humorous, kind, compassionate, loving, elegant, classy etc.. She was my grandmother Pauline's sister. I remember talking to her on the phone, after my dad Roger died and it was as if time stood still. Incredibly bright and cheerful. She was always so sweet and loving. I said something to the effect of you know The Coltranes/ Stanley's are of royal blood. She let out a laugh the size of Texas and responded. "Yes, yes we are!" I will never forget her. The tribute video was such a joy to watch. Love to the family..

Benny, David, and family,

I never forgot my beautiful first neighbor from 62 years ago, your dad, or Dean. . Your mother was always so welcoming, warm, cheerful, and full of grace. Don and I have many happy memories of time spent in your State Street house, right next to ours. In fact, not long ago, I published a story referencing you.

I'm so sorry for your loss. You're in our thoughts and prayers.

Much love,
Jean Sanders Shumaker

our sympathy is extended to the family as they morne the loss of a great lady..
Horace and I were friends in Junior High school in 1942. Margie and I renewed our friendship with Horace and Rosie in 1952 when we returned to High Point and joined
North Main Street Baptist Church.
Rosie was wonderful and great lady that was loved by everyone she met.
My mother always said she was the friendliest lady that attended the church. she loved Rosie dearly as did everyone that knew her .She will live on in the hearts of the
people who knew her.

She was such a beautiful woman .inside and out. She always had a smile on her face. One of my fondest memories of her was on Kayla's 1st birthday. Kayla ate steak on her 1st birthday and Grandmama and I kept looking at each other as Kayla "plojwed" through the pieces of meat. We both gave a sigh of relief and laughed when she had finished it . She was so dear to me that I called her MY grandmother and she seemed pleased with that. When I sent her a card in the mail , I addressed her as grandmother. She will be missed by so many people.

Such a sweet, sweet lady. She was loved by all her friends and volunteers at Clapp's Nursing Home, and will be surely missed. Even when she didn't feel well, she always had a smile and a hug. Prayers for her family.

Benny and David, I was so very sorry to hear of the passing of your Mother, Rosie. She was like my next door Mom all those many years ago. I was just very recently thinking and wondering about her. Rosie is one of the nicest people I have ever known and is a part of my fondest memories.
