Thomas Wade Gann

Mr. Thomas Wade Gann, 87, of High Point, passed away Monday, June 19, 2017, at the Hospice Home at High Point.

Born April 5, 1930, in Rockingham County, Thomas was the son of the late Robert and Sally Gann. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two sons, Keith and William Ellis, and two brothers, James and Robert Gann. Thomas was a member of the former Cross of Calvary Baptist Church, and had worked for Oakdale Cotton Mill for 50 years. He enjoyed working and mowing in his yard, and tending his garden.

Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Audrey Duggins Gann; daughter, Amy Isom and husband, Chuck; two sons, Roger Ellis and wife, Donna, and Jimmy Ellis; two sisters, Rachel Smith and Gracie Sink; nine grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service, in Archdale, officiated by Rev. Don Collins. Interment will follow in Guilford Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday night from 6 until 8 at the funeral home.
