Vickie Peebles White

HIGH POINT- Vickie Peebles White, 62, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, September 6, 2017.

She was born on June 22, 1955 in High Point, to the late Wade and Flora Hobbs Peebles, and she had been a resident of this area all of her life. She was a homemaker and was an active member of Crossover Community Church, as long as her health permitted. At her church, she was active with the college and career ministries and numerous friends that were like her family. Vickie was always about those less fortunate, and was always reaching out to make them a part of whatever she was involved in.　 She enjoyed inspirational and Christian music, reading and making greeting cards. Her true love and passion was spending time with her family; especially her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, preceding her in death were her sister, Faye Neighbors and her brother, Terry Hobbs.

She leaves to cherish her memory; her husband of 36 plus years, Bruce White; her daughters, Deana Carter and her husband Clark, Alison Hicks and her husband Rob; her grandchildren, Michael Carter and his wife Lauren, Caitlin Carter and her fiancé Gage Owens, PFC Benjamin Carter, USMC, PFC Noah Carter, USMC, Timothy Carter, Laura Carter, Kensington Hicks, and Avonlea Hicks; her great grandchildren, Hudson Carter, and in the very near future Samantha Carter.

A service to celebrate Vickie’s life will be held on Saturday, September 9, at 2 pm, at Crossover Community Church, with Pastor Darryl R. Love, Pastor Ricky Eller and Pastor Floyd Edwards officiating.
