Mr. Bruce Anthony Nance

Bruce Anthony Nance, 52, of Trinity, passed away Saturday, February 15, 2014.

Born May 18, 1961, Bruce worked as a supervisor at Harris House Furniture for over 30 years.  On September 12, 1981, he married the former Lisa McHenry, who survives of the home.  Bruce enjoyed spending time outdoors and time with his animals.  He enjoyed racing also, especially drag racing.  He will be remembered as a hard worker and someone who gave all he had.  Bruce will also be remembered as a wonderful husband and father.  He is predeceased by his father, Dwayne Cedric Nance, his grandparents, Henry and Jessie Nance and Howard and Ora Cagle, and brother in law, Roger McHenry.

In addition to his wife, Bruce is survived by sons, Travis Nance and Alex Nance, both of the home; mother and stepfather, Helen Cagle Nance Faircloth and Earl Faircloth of Trinity; brothers, Donnie Nance and wife Jennifer of Trinity and Mark Nance and wife Vetryl of Trinity; father in law and mother in law, Earl McHenry, Sr. and Louise McHenry of Trinity; brother in law, Earl McHenry and wife Lynn of Trinity; and several special pets.

A celebration of Bruce’s life will be held Friday, February 21, 2014 at 2 pm at Cumby Family Funeral Service, Archdale.  Interment will follow at Holly Hill Memorial Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Thursday, February 20, 2014 from 6 – 8 pm at Cumby Family Funeral Service, Archdale.
