Mrs. Betty Lou (Mooney) Fulp

Mrs. Betty Lou (Mooney)Fulp, 81 passed away Monday, May 12, 2014 at High Point Regional Hospital. She was the loving wife of the late Maylon Fulp.

Mrs. Fulp was born on March 8, 1933 in Guilford County a daughter of the late Claude and Rose (Stancil) Mooney. She was a 1951 graduate of Jamestown High School.

She was a member of Mitchell’s Grove United Methodist Church.

In her spare time, she enjoyed crocheting, but most of all she loved spending quality time with her children and grandchildren. Her life was well lived for her family.

Mrs. Fulp is survived by  four children, Franklin Fulp of High Point , Kathy Brewer and her husband, David of Trinity , Donna Loflin and her husband, Charles of Kernersville, and  Michael Fulp of Archdale, six grandchildren, Chris Brewer of Trinity, Shannon Wall and her husband Mike of Thomasville, Jeremy and Jesse Brewer of Trinity, and Nathan and Jonathan Loflin of Kernersville; two great grandchildren, Jamie and Nichole Wall of Thomasville; a brother, C.W. Mooney and his wife, Hazel of High Point, a sister Kay Barnes and her husband, Milton  of High Point; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a sister Rose Marie Shaw.

A celebration of life service will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 16 2014 at Cumby Family Funeral Service, 1015 Eastchester Drive, High Point with Rev. Lonnie Barnes officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Garden Memorial Park. A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
