Mr. Donald Lee Segers

Donald Lee Segers, 77 of Sophia died Saturday, September 19, 2015 at his home.  Born May 18, 1938 in Davidson County, he is a son of the late Brannon Segers and Elsie Lambeth Segers. He was a devoted family man and dedicated Christian who was always willing to help a friend.  He was devoted to his church and community.  He retired from Lowes Food as a butcher.  He always stayed busy trying to help someone else.

Mr. Segers is survived by his wife of 56 years Eunice Farlow Segers of the home, three daughters; Tammy Segers Rice and husband Steve, Deeon Segers Turner and husband Craig, Angie Segers George and husband Buck.  He is also survived by seven grandchildren, Chelsea Rice, Sarah Rice, Matthew Turner, Jacob Turner, Maggie George, Harrison George and Mary Beth George and a sister Peggy Lee and husband Austin of Thomasville and a brother Jerry Segers and wife Janie of Trinity.

Funeral services for Mr. Segers will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday at Mt. Olive Wesleyan Church with interment in the church cemetery.  The family will greet friends in the church fellowship hall following the burial.
