Mr. Paul “Perry” Coleman Ziglar, Jr., 83, of Archdale, passed away Saturday, October 21, 2017 at the Hospice Home at High Point.

Perry was born August 27, 1934, in Winston-Salem. He was a veteran of the United States Army, and was retired from the High Point Fire Department, where he served as Captain. He also owned and operated Ziglar Electric for a number of years. Perry enjoyed fishing and had fished in different bass tournaments in the area. He also enjoyed watching football and baseball on television. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Coleman Ziglar and Dorothy Elmer Jester, his wife, Betty Trivett Ziglar, and his aunt, who was like a second mother to him, Lettie Kenner.

Survivors include three sons, Paul Ziglar, of Gilbert AZ, David Ziglar and wife, Kellie, of Gilbert, AZ, and Colby Ziglar and wife, Laura, of Archdale; daughter, Angela Trivett, of Thomasville; three grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Jake, and Conner Ziglar; and a cousin, Tommy Kenner and wife, Linda, of Thomasville.

Funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale, officiated by Rev. Jack Sprinkle and Rev. Benny Hayes. Interment will follow in Floral Garden Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
