Mr. Tony Lee Gonteski, 40, of Archdale, died Saturday, June 27, 2015.
Tony was born November 20, 1974 in Mount Holly, NJ. He was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church in Thomasville, and was a Certified Diesel Mechanic. He loved working outdoors and helping out his neighbors by doing handyman work for them. He was preceded in death by his father, Wylie Byrd, and sister-in-law, Mary Gonteski.
Tony is survived by his mother, Elaine Marlin Byrd, of Archdale; two sisters, Crystal Berry and husband, James, of Burlington, NJ, and Kathy Triplette and husband, Ricky, of Thomasville; two brothers, Brian DeCamp and wife, Angela, of Roanoke, VA, and Ronnie Gonteski, of Archdale; several nieces and nephews, and great nieces and great nephews.
The family will have a memorial service 5:00 p.m. Friday, July 3, 2015, at Pleasant View Baptist Church, 7742 Turnpike Rd. in Archdale, officiated by Rev. Joel Smith.
