Vera Mae (Bost) Stilley

Mrs. Vera Mae Bost Stilley, 78, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Wednesday, March 22, 2017.

Born April 16, 1938, in Guilford County, Vera was the daughter of the late Herman and Cleo Barnes Bost. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by three brothers, Wayne, Harold, and Ernest Bost. Vera had worked for K & W in High Point for over 27 years, and attended Freedom Biker Church in Pleasant Garden. She loved her dog, Sassy, and enjoyed baking cakes and pies for others.

Survivors include three daughters, Christina Spainhour, of Thomasville, Bonnie Baker and husband, Ricky, of Climax, and Rachel Dinkins, of Thomasville, eight grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren.

A service to celebrate Vera’s life will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service. The family will receive friends Friday night from 6 until 8 at the funeral home.

The family wishes to thank the staff and friends of Clapps Nursing Center for their kindness and care given to Vera. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Clapps Nursing Center Activities Department, 5229 Appomattox Rd., Pleasant Garden, NC 27313.
