August 19, 1932 ~ February 6, 2018 (age 85)

The Piano Brothers

Beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend, Betty Lee Wall Burrow, age 85, died February 6, 2018.  She was born August 19, 1932, in Guilford County, to the late William Junior and Sallie Lee Bizzell Wall.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bill S. Burrow; and her loving and cherished daughter, Sherri.

Betty lived her entire life in High Point and was a graduate of High Point High School.  She married Bill S. Burrow on October 12, 1951.  A member of Hayworth Wesleyan Church, she was in the Building Believers Sunday School Class.

Betty was a homemaker who loved God, her family, people, bird watching, gardening and working in her yard, and cooking for her family and friends.  She volunteered in several schools, PTAs, and she was a substitute teacher.  For many years, she gave her time, energy and love to the mentally and physically challenged citizens and advocated that their lives be richer.  She was so blessed by the friends and families she met through her daughter, Sherri, and they were her extended family.  Betty received many awards from The Arc of High Point Board of Directors.  She received the Citizen of the Year Award by the High Point Civitan Council and Citizen’s Award by the High Point Mayor’s Committee for Persons with Disabilities.

Betty is survived by her devoted children, Tammie (Danny) McDaniel of Trinity, Scott (Candy) Burrow of High Point and Lori Burrow of Conway, SC; grandchildren, Brittany (Derick), Megan (Steve), and Brian Burrow, Cody and Logan McDaniel and Madison Robinson; great granddaughters, Zella Belle Howell and Olivia Savarese Smith; sisters-in-law, Pat (Don) Logan and Shelby Lang; and brother-in-law, Danny Trail.
