Eric Charles Newby

Mr. Eric Charles Newby, 64, resident of High Point, died May 22, 2017 at Hospice Home at High Point.

Mr. Newby was born March 9, 1953 in Guilford County, a son to the late Fred P. and Irene Nance Newby.   He graduated from Andrew’s High School, attended Wingate College, and later became owner of Granville Warehouse Inc.  On November 26, 1972 he married the former Pamela (Pam) Hollingsworth who survives of the residence.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Craig Newby.

Also surviving is a son, Brad Newby of Wallburg; and a sister, Renay Newby Lamp of High Point.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 31 at 3:30 p.m. in the fellowship hall of Christ United Methodist Church.  A visitation and reception will immediately follow the service.  Memorials may be directed to Hospice of the Piedmont, 1801 Westchester Dr. High Point, NC, 27262.
