Brad, Your mother recently told me of Eric's passing. I will miss his wit and easy manner. May you and Pam cherish the time spent with a good man, RIP Eric.

So sorry to hear about Eric's passing. It brings back many memories of good times we spent together with he and Pam and the Hollingsworth family. I remember the time he scared me to death in his new Fiat 124...I didn't know it would go that fast and neither did he! Then there was the time we were in my Porsche 914 and ran into a sudden fog cloud on Skeet Club Road. It was so thick that he had to get out of the car to see the edge of the road. Other cars had stopped running. It was a weird occurrence that baffled both of us. Eric was a great guy who brought a smile every time he was around. I'm sending prayers and my deepest sympathy for Pam and their families.

It has been a privilege to have known Eric Newby since Southwest Park first opened the marina in March, 2010. Eric and I became good friends exchanging pleasantries and discussing "the hot spots" of The Randleman Lake Reservoir. He loved bringing Pam and his fishing buddies. Steve S. and Bob W. to the lake with him. Eric was one of my favorite customers. The entire staff at Southwest Park is saddened by Eric's passing. Our deepest condolences to Pam and to the Newby family and friends. Eric will be sorely missed. Cindy McNeill (Southwest Park)

Pam, I am so sad to hear of Eric's passing. I can only imagine what Jimmy Hayes and Eric are doing today! I bet the fish tales are bigger than heaven. I know my brother loved Eric and thought the world of him. I knew you both best through Jimmy and felt like Eric was a brother to me. He was so good to my brother and mother. You can always tell where a beautiful soul has been by the tears and the smiles left behind. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. May God comfort you all during this time of sorrow.

I am so very, very sorry to hear about Eric. I always enjoyed working with Granville and chatting with him about work, and life in general. Albion and Granville worked together for many, many years and I always thought the world of Eric. Please know that my thoughts are with all of you and I pray that you will be comforted with love and good memories during the difficult days ahead.
