Dear Kelly family,
I am so sad to hear about Fred's passing. I will miss our occasional chance meetings and how he always made me feel special. I will always remember the smile on his face and twinkle in his eye when we would see each other. He rarely called me by my first name as he had a nickname for me -from seeing me at the Y. I remember one of our chance meetings when I was working in the office at Ragsdale HS. It was after your mom died and he came and brought some of her painting supplies to be donated to the art department students. I could tell how much he missed your mom and how much she meant to him. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Fred will be missed by all who knew him.

Dear Fred, John and Karla,
My heartfelt condolences to you on the passing of your Father. I knew Fred and your Mother, Jean, when they lived in Reading PA, and your Father was Manager at Sears and Co. I met them both through my late husband, Jim.
What a warm couple they both were. How proud they were of you all.
When Fred would journey to Reading, he would either call or stop by to visit. We also emailed back and forth on a regular basis. I will miss hearing from him.
You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

It is indeed a sad day when we lose one of our best friends whom we have known for 47 years. Fred always called me brother and we have had a very special and enjoyable friendship all these many years. Fred was always fun to be around... laughing, joking and making life a little more enjoyable along the way. Fred was truly like a brother to me and we shared some great experiences over the years ... on the golf course, with our families, at the local tavern or fishing in the Bahamas with other Sears associates... Fred made every gathering special with his humor and genuine care of others. He will be missed and the memories of so many great times will be ever more valuable to us. Our thoughts and prayers will be with all of you as we all feel the loss of not only a best friend but a very iimportant part of our lives. With much sympathy.. Doug and Connie Grow

Dear Karla,Fred and John,
Our hearts are heavy upon hearing the sad news of Fred's passing. He was truly one of the best! I loved him like an uncle and cherished the special friendship he and my father shared for what has been for me a lifetime!
I will forever remember him for his infectious laugh and sense of humor, for his loving and brotherly friendship so generously shared with my father, for his support of me and my family and his concern for our well being every step of the way. He loved you all so very much and was so very proud of every accomplishment you
had and just loved being your Dad! I pray that the sadness we all feel will be a reminder to me every day that Fred was truly a class act and that I can honor him best by living life to the fullest just like he did. And maybe , just maybe, he will be looking down on me as I play a round of golf and he will blow on that little Callaway ball and send it right into the cup so that I too can say I got a home in one!! Sending much love and hugs to your entire family, Linda Marshall
