My deepest condolences to Nana's husband and family. Nana was a fan on my Facebook page and blog. She was always a big supporter of mine in my lengthy legal battle with my town over my right to keep backyard chickens. I will remember her fondly as a passionate chicken keeper and a kind soul.

I was one of Nana's chicken friends through facebook. One day I shared my illness with her and she told me she had cancer. We said we were "bed buddies" because there were days that she and I both could not find the strength to get out of bed and that was "OK"-and somehow oddly I think that was a comfort to us both. We had many laughs about our birds and how spoiled they were and i told her about how I am trying to convince my husband to let me have a "therapy" pig lol. On one of the raffle pages we played on, she won a beautiful chicken rug that I had up and I was so happy to have her so excited! Please find a special place for it! She was a kind woman with a beautiful spirit and will be greatly missed.
